Adrian Panaitescu, 1937-2024, was a prolific artist, a father and husband, and an architect by profession. His work encompasses landscapes, architectural concepts, portraits and abstract ideas, primarily in pastel and watercolor, blending these threads into unique and beautiful tapestries. As he aged his eyesight weakened, resulting in brighter and bolder pieces. This show spans 60 years of art that began in his homeland, Romania, and ended in his final place of residence, Florida.
I have chosen what I consider to be the best representation of my father’s immense talent, pulled from over 600 collected works. Growing up, my father and I spent many hours drawing together, and he imparted to me the basics of technique, perspective and art history, continuing throughout my life with visits to museums, churches, ancient sites and modern buildings across the US and Europe. I continue the tradition with my 8 year old daughter Lucia, and have included some of her work as well.
All artwork is sale unless noted by a red dot.
