Explore Connection Through Rope Bondage: The Art of Japanese Shibari with Lauren Pisano

  • MoonMountain Highway 113 West Steuben Street Cook, WA, 98605 United States (map)

Japanese Shibari is an erotic and sensual art which uses rope as a medium for connection. In this workshop we will start with the basics including safety, etiquette and consent. We will learn simple ties and how to move rope in a conscious, dynamic manner to heighten sensation and play. Creativity, deep listening and presence will be emphasized.

Whether you are a couple looking to bring fresh energy to your relationship or a single person seeking to explore your independent erotic nature, this workshop is for you. All participants must attend with a partner so bring a friend, lover, partner, roommate, or date!

Cost: $25/couple
Registration is required: Please email Lauren at lauren@laurenpisanoyoga.com with questions and/or to register and receive a welcome email with class details.

About the facilitator:
Lauren began her training in Shibari in early 2016 at the SF Armory in San Francisco under Miss True Blue. She studied under Blue formally for one year and remained part of the rope community in the Bay Area until early 2020 when she moved to the gorge. Since then she has hosted rope gatherings at her home and is honored to share this art form in a public setting. Lauren also is a longtime practitioner and teacher of yoga and appreciates the many parallels between these practices.
