Introduction to TRE | Tension & Trauma Releasing Exercises w/ Stephenie Going

  • MoonMountain Highway 113 West Steuben Street Cook, WA, 98605 United States (map)

Join us for an information and practice session. TRE is an innovative approach to help people release patterns of deep muscular tension that are caused by everyday life demands, immediate or prolonged stress, or traumatic life experiences. TRE evolved out of a growing body of research that connects the impact of stress and trauma on the mind and the body. Using a set of simple and easy to learn exercises, TRE accesses and releases stored tension in the muscles, which then sends a message of safety and relaxation to the nervous system and the brain. As it is a body-based release that slowly unwinds holding patterns from the core of the body outward, there is little emotional or cognitive processing that would re-trigger uncomfortable or stressful memories. TRE has immediate benefits and is a tool that can be practiced at home on your own, one-on-one with a provider or in groups, for as little as a few minutes time and is used by many as a method of daily self care, with lifelong benefits.
